It’s another packed month ahead for our two main Guildford venues, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, and G Live.
We will kick off our roundup with our close neighbours, G Live and it’s an event tackling the somewhat tricky, but hugely important and relevant subject of assisted dying.
Whose Life is it Anyway? is the latest offering from the multi-award winning Pranksters Theatre, and it really is an unmissable, edge of your seat drama, so grab your tickets now. The show runs from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th.
On the 15th, Fearne Cotton brings her mesmerising, and candid show Breaking Free From The Need To Please to the stage. It’s an unflinching conversation about the cost of people-pleasing, delivered in Fearne’s unmistakable style.
If sublime classical music is your style then a bit of Beethoven will doubtless be right up your street. The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine return to Guildford in triumph with Symphony No.3 on March 18th.
If you are more a fan of Musicals then Sing the Musicals on March 28th is for you. It’s a sing-a-long night of the greatest hits from the biggest selling shows of all time, including Les Mis, Phantom, Rocky Horror, Mamma Mia and We Will Rock you.
Harry Enfield has sold out for his one-man show Harry Enfield and No Chums…we did warn you to get your skates on last month!
And so to ‘The Arnaud’, Guildford’s own award winning theatre and venue that has just had a rather splendid face-lift.
House of Ghosts is an Inspector Morse mystery starring the wonderfully talented Tom Chambers. Running from the 10th to the 14th, it’s a night of ‘Classic Morse’ with twists and turns aplenty, there’s a reason the Radio Times judged Inspector Morse as ‘the greatest British crime series of all time’.
On March 15th, Guildford is privileged to host the remarkable Juliet Stevenson and the brilliant Rachel Parris in By A Lady – The Life and Wit of Jane Austen. For one night only, the Yvonne Arnaud will transport you to the world of the immortal characters created by one of the greatest writers ever.
The Beekeeper of Aleppo is an unmissable story of love, loss and redemption. Adapted from the international bestselling novel, it is a play that ‘you can’t fail to be moved by’, described by The Telegraph as ‘Sparklingly assured… impressive show… anchored in strong performances from a uniformly excellent ensemble cast’
See it between the 14th and 21st of March.
We will end our roundup with an absolute gem of a show. Set ‘roughly in the past, Clementine is a gloriously unhinged, hilarious tale of one woman’s search for ‘the one’. It won Best Reviewed Show at the Edinburgh Fringe and was named in the Top 10 Comedy Shows by The Guardian.
Catch it on Saturday, March 21st…trust us, it’s brilliant, we’ve seen it!
