Here is our quick run-down of the best that Guildford has to offer visitors this February, we have everything from sports to Shakespeare, some fabulous art shows, and a visit from Poirot himself, David Suchet.

Our friends and very close neighbours at G Live, Guildford’s premier entertainment venue have a star-studded line-up for February, as well as Poirot, they are also host to the frankly rather dreamy, Professor Brian Cox appearing as part of his world-record breaking, Horizons tour.

Often described as ‘the comedian’s comedian’, the remarkable Jimeoin brings his razor sharp wit to town on Sunday 11th of February, while for lovers of the best in classical music, the Royal Philharmonic will be performing Dvorak, to sell-out audiences.

An all-star cast will be bringing the musical tale of Bonnie & Clyde to mesmerising life at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre between February 27th and March 2nd, and it’s not a show that you will want to miss out on.

Winner of ‘New Musical of the Year 2023’, stars includes Catherine Tyldsley, Alex James-Hatton, and Katie Tonkinson, alongside a wonderfully strong cast of West End regulars from shows like Bat out of Hell, Waitress, and Heathers.

The remarkable Guildford Shakespeare Company are staging their production of Pride & Prejudice from the 5th-24th of February. The gloriously feel-good romantic comedy by Jane Austen is being staged at Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, just a five minute stroll from Mandolay, the venue itself is the largest Georgian Church in Surrey, and regularly hosts large scale musical, and theatrical productions…the Georgians knew a thing or two about acoustics!

Guildford Cathedral is host to a Family Fun Day on February 13th, while February 14th sees the BBC Radio 3 broadcasting live from Choral Evensong.

The latest addition to the thriving arts scene in Guildford is the wonderful New House Art Space, they have lots going on throughout February, including an Exhibition of Text in Art, on the 9th.

And finally, it’s a packed month for ice hockey fans, as our very own Guildford Flames face no fewer than five top flight opponents on their Guildford Spectrum home ice. First up it’s Glasgow, in the 2nd leg of their Cup semi-final, the first leg finished in a tie, so it’s all top play for a place in the final!
