Mandolay is a modern, 4 Star hotel and events venue, just a two-minute walk from the heart of the bustling, and beautiful market town of Guildford, in the County of Surrey.
The main part of the hotel comprises three Edwardian town houses, one of which was formerly home to computer pioneer Alan Turing and his family. Other famous Guildford residents include novelist PG Wodehouse, and author Lewis Carroll, creator of Alice in Wonderland.
Today, the hotel welcomes business users and tourists from around the world, all welcomed by our cosmopolitan and multi-lingual service teams, in fact a very quick recent calculation showed some 27-30 languages spoken between our staff.
Our bedrooms are all individually styled, using Osborne and Little wallcoverings, OKA detailing, and complimentary Molton Brown toiletries in every bathroom. Our secure, on-site parking can be booked in advance, subject to a standard fee, whilst there are some 1,000 parking spaces within five minutes of our front door.
Food and drink are of course a staple of our service, with Head Chef David and his team creating menus using locally sourced, seasonal produce to astonishing effect. Guests can choose from our AA Rosette menu, or a less formal Grill Style offering, while our service style may be best described as attentive, unintrusive and informal.
Check-in can be performed at reception or online ahead of arrival, we operate a system of push notifications for all guests, allowing you to select the service that best suits your requirements.
Additional toiletries, gifts and sundries are available to purchase at the hotel, and we offer a range of packages deigned to make your stay even more special, with chocolates, wine, flowers, and even cocktail sets available to have delivered to your room ahead of arrival.
Our staff are always on-hand to help with a little local knowledge about the wonderful shopping and sightseeing opportunities on our doorstep, and of course we can help with airport transfers, taxis, and train timetables.
