We originally booked our wedding for December 2020, but had to take the decision to postpone due to the uncertainty caused by Covid. The staff were so helpful in rebooking us for December 2021, allowing us to continue with our dream of a Christmas wedding.
Thanks to Tami and the hotel’s chain of preferred suppliers everything was so easy to rearrange. By attending a wedding fayre at the hotel, we met the people that would cater for our every need.
After a few meetings with The Mandolay staff, everything was arranged and the team started working then on. When we were given the menu choices, we asked if it would be possible to change to a Christmas dinner, and without any hesitation, we were told yes. At the meal tasting, Tash treated us like royalty and all the food choices were amazing, which made the decision very hard.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Tami was on hand for any help or advice we needed and was always calm and reassuring in the face of ever-changing restrictions and always filling us with confidence that the wedding would go ahead.
On the day of the wedding, the hotel’s staff worked tirelessly to enable the majority of our guests to check-in early. Behind the scenes, Tami was calm as ever and checked if we were both okay, made sure our guests were in the right place at the right time and everything ran like clockwork. The ceremony and drinks reception in the Surrey Suite went perfectly.
Then we entered the Mandolay suite for the wedding breakfast and the layout and decoration was better than we had hoped, the room was amazing.
Thanks to Tami and all the staff at the Mandalay, we had the most perfect, magical day. The day we had dreamed of.
