The beautiful town of Guildford, like so many other towns and cities up and down the country, is part of a BID, a Business Improvement District.
Our BID, is run by Experience Guildford (EG), an organisation dedicated to making the town centre a safer, more attractive, and fun place to visit. So successful are they that at the recent National Best Bar None Awards, hosted at the Houses of Parliament, Guildford was awarded Best UK Town!
Guildford has long been recognised as a safe and welcoming place to visit, attaining Purple Flag status for ten consecutive years, this national independent accreditation is given to towns that provide a ‘safe, vibrant and varied night out’. Only 70 places in the UK have a Purple Flag, and Guildford is the only one in Surrey to achieve this status.
So, that’s night-time looked after, what else does Experience Guildford do for the town?
