Perhaps the most basic requirement for any hotel is the bedroom, and we really are very proud of ours.

Here’s a few reasons why.

We have bedrooms to suit most requirements, and almost any budget. From crash pads to junior suites, executive doubles, family triples and even our very own ‘Apart-hotel’, a fully equipped mini-flat that is ideal for longer stays.

Crash pads are ideal for guests looking for all the convenience and quality of a four star hotel, but where additional space is not a paramount requirement. These rooms are beautifully decorated, and have all the little touches like Molton Brown Toiletries and great complimentary snack selection but space is limited.

Here are a couple of points to consider when booking your room.

We cannot stress enough that the best tariffs and largest choice of room types are only available by booking direct with the hotel. We love third party websites but they do not have the space for us to describe each room type separately.

And, on the subject of room types, here’s three quick points to help you make a decision.

  1. Mandolay is, in large part an Edwardian building. This means that not all rooms are identical, they all have the same facilities but most rooms are unique. Photos are an example of rooms within each of our categories.
  2. Some rooms are on the lower ground floor, others are upstairs. We do have a lift (two actually), but there are some rooms that are not accessible by the lift(s). If you have access or mobility issues, please let us know ahead of your stay, we can perhaps offer a ground floor room. Staff are also on-hand to help with luggage etc.
  3. We always try our very best, but we cannot always guarantee individual rooms within a room category. Room allocations tend to be arranged on check-in day, based on availability, room tariff, and length of stay.

We could mention other room facilities like Nespresso coffee machines, Molton Brown Toiletries (again), 100s of satellite TV channels, complimentary snacks, fridges, Osborne and Little wallcoverings, accessories by OKA, and Egyptian Cotton sheets…but that might sound like we’re showing off.
