Sunday March 15th is the day that we celebrate our mum’s, moms, step mothers, mummy’s, and ma’s, and whatever you call yours we think every day should be Mother’s Day.
After all, these wonderful women are quite literally responsible for it all, they are the reason that we are here, and they are the original founders of the feast. Without them there would be no celebration afternoon tea, because without them there would be no us.
Afternoon Tea at Mandolay is always an occasion, that’s why we are often quoted as ‘the best afternoon tea in town’, or ‘a Guildford institution’.
When we do afternoon tea, we REALLY do afternoon tea.
Of course you can expect exquisite service, delicious sweet treats, the finest loose leaf teas, and delicate (but not too delicate) finger sandwiches. Everything is cooked and prepared in our own kitchens, under the watchful eye of Head Chef David, even the jams and preserves are made here, although we must confess we do not have a herd of dairy cows in the back garden, se we do buy our Cornish Clotted Cream.
